Frequently Asked Questions
STUDENTS
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes I do!
You are able to choose between a 1 time payment option or you can select a payment plan via Paypal at checkout. Credit cards may also be used. Please also note; due to the nature of these trainings, there are NO refunds.
Do you need to have an Esthetician license or any previous knowledge in order to take this course and become certified?
In the state of Utah, no prior licensing is required to become a trained and certified teeth whitening specialist. This may not be the case everywhere, so make sure to do your research if you are in a different state. While it is an awesome service to add to a beauty professionals’ belt, it is also perfect for those looking for an extra stream of income!
Does this have the potential to become a full time income?
Yes! The beauty of being self employed is that you can work as much or as little as you would like. With teeth whitening, the cost to your business per client is about $20-$25 (with quality mat but you can charge between $145-$160 per client (depending on your area) for the service. This is a great rate of return taking into account that appointments are only 90 minutes long! Obviously the more you work, the more money you will make! The possibilities are endless!
STUDENTS
What will I need to buy, in addition to your course in order to start offering this service?
When purchasing my course you will gain access to all of the training modules, quizzes and instruction materials as well as enough whitening pens/gels for your first 10 clients (There are also course options without the pens/gels if you'd like to purchase those later under "Certified Students"). All of the other materials will be linked so that you can order those things on your own to complete your kit. Most of those things can be found on Amazon or in local stores.
Where do I buy my supplies when I run out?
Whitening pens and desensitizing gels can be purchased from my website! If you are local to Utah, I have monthly pickups for free or you can have these shipped directly to you. Everything else can be found locally or on Amazon. I have shopping lists that I am happy to share with you.
Is there any additional support that I can receive after taking this course?
Yes! I have a private Facebook group for certified students that have taken my course where you can ask questions and get support from fellow students and myself.
CLIENTS
Are results immediate? How long do they last?
Yes! results are immediate. you can get 4-14 shades whiter during your appointment! The results last anywhere from 6-10 months depending on your diet and genetics.
How does teeth whitening work?
Teeth whitening uses hydrogen peroxide gel to remove surface stains and discoloration from the teeth. When the blue led light is turned on it slightly raises the temperature of the gel which causes a chemical reaction and pulls the moisture from the teeth, which ultimately removes the unwanted coloring.
What if I have existing dental work, tooth gems or a permanent retainer?
If you have crowns, veneers or any fake teeth - you can still receive the teeth whitening treatment, but just be aware that these teeth will not whiten any whiter than they already are. Permanent retainers and tooth gems are totally fine but if you have piercings, you will want to remove those beforehand.
CLIENTS
Can anyone receive a teeth whitening treatment?
You should NOT receive a teeth whitening treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under the age of 14, still have baby teeth, open cavities, or gum disease.
Those who are allergic to aloe vera or peroxide should not participate.
If you have recently had your braces taken off, please wait 6 months before scheduling a session. This will ensure that the cement residue has worn off.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Eat something before you come since you will have to wait 1-2 hours after your appointment to eat again. You can use mouthwash before you come or I will provide some for you when you arrive. Also drink lots and lots of water!!
What are some suggestions to maintain the results?
-Avoid eating for at least 1-2 hours after your appointment
-Use mouth rinse often
